Account Manager

Want to work with an amazing team? Have experience in Marketing? Got amazing administrative skills? How about people skills? Can you manage multiple projects at once? This might be your lucky day. Our Fort Worth office is looking for an Account Manager. Keep reading to find out what’s required (besides being an awesome example of humanity).

The Account Manager will work directly with the Director of Accounts to collaborate with our creative, technical, and client service teams to come up with impressive, multi-platform marketing campaigns and software solutions for a wide variety of clients. If you’re going to do it well, you have to be a self-starter, a creative thinker, a good writer, a clear and concise communicator, mega organized, confident, and have lots of energy to go along with your exceptional sense of humor. Ardent Creative clients span the great state of Texas and the nation (even globally, tbh), so the Account Manager will be expected to be comfortable multi-tasking for a variety of clients at the same time while finding new opportunities to make their organizations famous to the people that matter most to them. It’s a fast-paced gig in a collaborative (now almost entirely remote) office environment.

A large part of the job involves identifying the needs of clients and the resources within Ardent that meet those needs. The Account Manager makes sure that their clients’ projects stay on strategy, manages expectations, and is a King or Queen of clear and concise communication. The ability to build and maintain relationships with current and potential clients is crucial. You’ve got to be able to visualize and strategize from a macro stance, as well as pursue goals for the client and Ardent on a micro level.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Account Management in an effort to execute fantastic digital, social, and print marketing campaigns that achieve measurable goals for a wide variety of clients
  • Work closely with the Sales Coordinator to take over new client projects once they’ve been onboarded
  • Stay on top of Marketing trends, strategies, and new technologies
  • Thoroughly research clients and their competitors
  • Communicate with clients regularly to establish goals and needs
  • Strategize Marketing Initiatives for client and build proposals
  • Learn and utilize Ardent’s Project Management system to the fullest extent (you’ll make tasks, set schedules and budgets, generate invoices, etc.)
  • Help clients define the role Ardent can play in helping meet their business objectives
  • Help identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with production teams to create cutting edge content for email campaigns, online advertising, web projects, social media & print
  • Create a game plan and schedule for completing all things website, social media, email marketing, and print
  • Use reports to show clients how the campaign is succeeding and give them some tips on how to be even better
  • Plan and lead meetings, set meeting objectives, develop agendas, provide documentation and proper meeting notes, and strategize with clients so that they feel supported and cared for
  • Consistently communicate with clients so that they have no question as to where their project stands or in which phase of the process they are
  • Work with the best team on the planet

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in marketing or client service positions at an agency or in a comparable client-services role (Know your stuff. Internship experience counts for sure!)
  • Administrative skills that are on point! This includes but is not limited to coordinating schedules (day-to-day and long-term), juggling multiple client portfolios and projects at once, email inbox organization, file organization, note-taking, responding to emails in a timely manner, AND SO MUCH MORE (basically, be at the top of your game, so we can be at the top of ours, please!)
  • Experience with financial management on projects for clients – including accurate estimating, forecasting, invoicing and monitoring of profitability
  • Excellent writing and editing skills (Spelling and grammar are so important!)
  • Basic understanding of graphic design, website design, printing, and digital marketing environments preferred
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, including copywriting and execution for email campaigns
  • Experience with content management systems for website management (Do you even WordPress?)
  • Familiarity with Google AdWords and SEO techniques (You don’t have to be a search engine pro, but familiarity and a willingness to learn is key)
  • Proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets (We live in the cloud)
  • Passion for marketing and an eagerness to learn new skills and techniques (Know stuff but don’t be a know-it-all, ya know?)
  • It helps if you like dogs, but that’s not exactly a requirement per se
