Early Life and Artistic Pursuits
From a young age, Brad was drawn to art. His early years were filled with doodling, coloring, and drawing, which led him to pursue fine arts at Texas Wesleyan University on a scholarship. While studying drawing and painting, he continued exploring new creative outlets.
In 1997, Brad’s artistic journey took a new direction when he began live painting during concerts, collaborating with musicians like Ben Pasley and the band By the Tree. This unique form of performance art helped him develop a deep understanding of visual storytelling, a skill that would later shape his career in branding and design.
Entrepreneurial Ventures and Ardent Creative
After graduating in 1998, Brad started working in graphic design. However, in 2000, he made the difficult decision to leave his job to care for his mother, who was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. This period not only deepened his family values but also ignited his entrepreneurial mindset.
In 2005, Brad co-founded Ardent Creative, Inc. with David Canington. What started as a small design venture quickly evolved into a full-service agency, specializing in branding, web development, SEO, and digital marketing. By 2012, Ardent had solidified its reputation as an industry leader, helping businesses craft their brand stories and digital presence.
Expanding into Business Solutions with VerityIMS
Brad’s entrepreneurial drive didn’t stop with branding—he recognized the need for business solutions that go beyond design. Through his work with VerityIMS, he’s helping companies optimize inventory management with smart, tech-driven solutions.
VerityIMS was developed to streamline inventory operations, providing businesses with efficiency, accuracy, and better data insights. By applying entrepreneurial thinking to software development, Brad has helped create a product that solves real business challenges while maintaining the user-centric approach that defines his work in branding.
Commitment to Mentorship and Community
Brad is also passionate about mentorship. He co-founded Committed Mastermind, a community for marketing agency owners to share insights, grow, and collaborate. Additionally, he speaks at Texas Christian University (TCU), guiding the next generation of designers and entrepreneurs.
Personal Life and Philosophy
Outside of business, Brad enjoys golf, CrossFit, and family adventures. He and his wife, Leah, are raising their three children, teaching them the values of creativity, resilience, and integrity.
